Sinfonia De Carnaval - that's Anna Lang and Alois Eberl on cello, trombone, accordion, percussion, electronics and voices.
The cello is bowed to percussively tapped. The trombone sung to hissingly breathed. In between beat boxing and pulsating stomp box. Plus virtuoso improvisations and ingenious arrangements. Sinfonia de Carnaval creates a unique sound: instrumental art pop that knows no bounds!
Human Faces is the title of the new album by Sinfonia de Carnaval. The music is clear and distinct. “Human Faces” reads the depths of the faces of people and animals. Moments become sound portraits. Scenes of nature become sound paintings. The power and elemental force, but also the tenderness and vulnerability of nature inspired the award-winning duo to create new Sinfonia de Carnaval - sound stories. The colorful energy and expressiveness of painted art were clearly the inspiration here. The unique Sinfonia de Carnaval color palette is immersed generously, enjoyably and without limits. The sound fantasies of Anna Lang and Alois Eberl are sometimes packaged in brute orchestral epics or, quite simply, in intimate dialogues. “Two are a symphony!” (Radio Ö1)

Trombonist, accordionist and composer Alois Eberl was born in 1986 in Kitzbühel, where he grew up surrounded by folk and classical music. At the age of 14, he continued his classical training in trombone and accordion at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in Innsbruck, where he also discovered his passion for jazz and popular music. Together with the cellist, pianist and composer Anna Lang, he founded the the duo Sinfonia de Carnaval. In 2021, he founded the quartet “Alpha Trianguli” together with Florian Klinger, Jakob Kammerer and Philipp Kienberger, with which he can musically process his inspirations from the cosmos and the starry sky. Inspired by the beauty and vastness of the universe, the Alpha Trianguli quartet embarks on a journey into the infinity of sound worlds. The four musicians move between earthy, edgy tones around energetic, swirling grooves and floating, calm sound paintings that are inspired by the view of the universe.
